With conventional banking and retail banking taking a severe beating due to the crisis, many have either reduced or completely stopped their investment and planning of new products, and instead are focusing on strategies of how to increase their customer loyalty and what their plans for the post-May 2009 period will be.

The Forum, organized by Jacob Fleming Conferences, will feature sessions by Malik Sarwar - CEO Sarwar Wealth Advisors and Former President of Citicorp Investment Services - Citigroup NY as well as SVP of Permal Asset Management, Ajay Makhija of SAMBA, Rajeev Kakkar of Fullerton Financial Holdings, Sanjoy Sen of Citibank NA and Sarvesh Sarup of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank along with other key specialists.

Attendees include almost 60% of all the regional retail banks, which shows the concern they have for the future of the industry and their willingness to shape that future.

Those who have no been able to register in time will face a problem as the event has sold out, with no room available at the venue to accommodate any more. Sponsored by Avaloq, Market Probe, Peppers & Rogers Group and Seac Banche, specialists in providing solutions to retail banks, the event is a step forward in the right direction for the industry.
