Dubai Studio City hosts exclusive screening of 'Journey to Mecca'

Dubai Studio City hosted an exclusive screening of 'Journey to Mecca' on 1 April at the Grand Cinemas in Ibn Batutta Mall for over 80 media and potential sponsors.

The screening was attended by Jamal Al Sharif, Executive Director, Dubai Studio City, Abdulhamid Juma, Chairman of Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), Fareed Abdulrahman, CEO of SmartCity, and Dima Alansary, Deputy General Manager, Desert Door Productions.

Journey to Mecca is an IMAX feature-length docu-drama filmed in Saudi Arabia and Morocco in both English and Arabic. The film tells the amazing story of Ibn Battuta, the legendary 14th century traveller, explorer and writer, and paints an unforgettable picture of Islamic civilization, culminating in his first Hajj.

The story also offers a close-up look at the contemporary Hajj, a pilgrimage to the Holy City of Mecca.

Launched in Feb, 2005, Dubai Studio City (DSC) offers a complete technical and community infrastructure catering to the film, TV, radio production and broadcast industries. Being built on an area of more than 20m square feet .
