Emirates Driving Institute participated in the International Woman's Day celebrations held by the students of the department of Media and Communication of Manipal University on March 9, 2009.

Reflecting the vibrance in the environment, the theme color of the event was purple. The students and guests who attended the programme were given badges.

Speeches were also delivered by speakers from Emirates Driving Institute, NGOs, Filmmakers, Students of Manipal and Total Lubricants. Lays, Damas Total Lubricants, Alokozay Tea, Yardley, London Dairy and other companies were associated with the program.

The institute gave the students some invaluable safety driving tips. "Being a part of an event such as this which celebrates the victory of the women in all arenas was wonderful. We also imparted road safety tips to students and educated them on how to obey the lane discipline while driving," said Wasim Iqbal, safety demonstrations in charge, Emirates Driving Institute.

EDI distributed freebies such as sunshades, tyre pressure guage key chains, informative booklets on seat belt safety and tyre pressures to the students. The students, in turn, presented the team of EDI with a token of appreciation.
