Enthusiastic Response to Human Assets Middle East

  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, February 19 - 2003 at 14:48
  • PRESS RELEASE

The Middle East's first professional magazine for the Human Resources and Training community, Human Assets Middle East, has received an enthusiastic welcome from HR managers and consultants throughout the Gulf region.

"The HR profession is rapidly establishing itself as a strategic component of total quality management, and the feedback to the Winter 2002 issue shows there was a deeply felt need for a specialised medium that would put Human Resources on the map," said Human Assets editor Judith Chalk.

The magazine is a joint initiative by HR consultancy biz-ability and publishers Fleming Woodman Consultants. "We have been delighted with the feedback we received for our first issue, but our Spring 2003 issue represents a true quantum leap, being twice as substantial as the first," said Ms Chalk. "The cover story in this second issue, which is out now, provides fascinating perspectives on the highly topical issue of Nationalisation, and includes thoughts and opinions about working in a multi-cultural society."

The Spring 2003 Human Assets issue also provides instructive detail about companies who are in the process of achieving successful Emiratisation, and who pull no punches about how to get it right. "We are encouraged from all sides to value the diversity, and we hope these articles provide practical food for thought as well as useful background information," said Ms Chalk.

The Features section in issue 2 covers a range of subjects: from innovative team-training to a case-study of effective staff retention. The Resources section provides useful information about new courses and products, book and video reviews, healthcare and insurance matters.
