"3M is committed to supplying innovative products and solutions that improve the quality of care provided by healthcare professionals in the region, and as such, we believe we can be most efficient in this by conducting our work from the new centre of regional healthcare expertise."
3M Healthcare's move comes in response to the growing demand for healthcare in the GCC region, as a result of growing populations and an increase in medical tourism, with healthcare providers in the UAE expected to require 10,000 beds by 2025. Moreover, the value of the industry in the region is poised to increase fivefold from its current value of $11.9bn to $57.3bn over the coming years
"The move to DHCC means that 3M is ideally located to work closely with the medical community and it will enable us to provide them with the products, technologies, services and the ongoing support that they need, to help make Dubai a world leader in healthcare," Malik added.
For more than a century, 3M has been developing products and ideas that solve problems and make lives easier. From hospitals to wound clinics to oral care offices, 3M is a trusted partner dedicated to supplying essential products designed to meet the unique needs of healthcare professionals, thereby helping advance the practice, outcome and quality of care.
