The book was launched at the recent International Bar Association 12th Arbitration Day which took place in Dubai earlier this year. Essam Al Tamimi has acted as an arbitrator representing clients in trial proceedings mainly involving foreign arbitration and is acquainted with the UAE Chamber of Commerce arbitration process and UAE arbitration proceedings at the UNCITRAL and ICC.
Al Tamimi said:
"It is hugely important that the Middle East get the opportunity to promote our arbitration expertise to the rest of the world. This method of dispute resolution has been practiced according to local traditions for a long time and the Middle East has much to teach the world about the nature and benefits of arbitration."
