gsFitch appoints new Managing Director

gsFitch in Dubai have appointed Habib Beaini as Managing Director.

Former MD, Gregg Sedgwick is to move to the position of Chairman. Formerly gscs (Gregg Sedgwick. Creative Strategy), WPP acquired 51% of the Company in 2007. Beaini has been with the Company since 2003 when he started as New Business Development Director.

In 2007, he became a main board Director. As Managing Director, he will lead a team of 35 staff from offices in Dubai Media City and will interface closely with the Fitch Qatar studio as well as Fitch London.

Sedgwick described Habib Beaini as "The natural choice to lead gsFitch through challenging times. Habib has proved time and time again that he offers clients great results and long term brand thinking. He's a strong leader and respected by clients and colleagues alike."

Sedgwick's position as Chairman is not a full time post but he intends to stay very close to the business. "I own significant shares in the Company and care passionately for its future development. As part of WPP's Branding to Design Group we have very strong partners and we are in good shape to face the challenges of a changing world".

Fitch is the largest branding and design consultancy in the Middle East. With offices in Dubai, Doha and Kuwait, the firm provides strategic brand solutions to some of the region's best known Companies. Clients include the Federal Government of the UAE, Jumeirah, Majid Al Futtaim, Dubai Pearl and Dubai Holding.

Fitch is part of the Branding to Design (BtoD) group of WPP. As well as Fitch, the group also owns Landor, The Brand Union, the Partners, Addison and The Partners. The group has 65 studios and over 2600 staff worldwide.
