Health Insurance Company offers free health checks

Organized to mark World Health Day, the initiative will allow visitors at leading malls access to free check-ups.

Trained medical professionals will conduct a series of check-ups and talks, interspersed with well-crafted games at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi Mall, Khalidiya Mall and Al Wahda Mall to acquaint visitors about potential health risks.

"Diseases such as diabetes and hypertension have registered a significant rise in the past few years. Changing lifestyles and increased work pressure often makes people lax about their own health. Initiatives such as these are an interesting way to disseminate information on potential dangers in an effective and relaxed manner," Sardegna added.

Individual blood sugar, body mass index, body fat and blood pressure are some of the indicators being mapped to test the visitors for hypertension, diabetes and obesity.

Green Crescent participated earlier in the year with the Family Health Festival in connection with the Dubai Shopping Festival where 10,000 check-ups were administered to visitors across leading shopping malls in Dubai and Global Village.
