Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum presents Academic Excellence Award to GEMS student

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, awarded Simran Vedvyas, a Grade 5 student from The Millennium School, the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance at a ceremony held last night.

This is a milestone for Simran who has won over a hundred certificates, trophies and medals.

Michael Guzder, Principal of The Millennium School, GEMS Education, said:
"I congratulate Simran who has demonstrated exceptional achievements and success consistently. We are extremely proud of her, and her enthusiasm, hard work, determination and commitment to academic excellence make her a worthy winner of this prestigious award."


He added, "Simran is extremely confident, respectful of others and sensitive to the needs of her peers. She has been an excellent pupil throughout her school career, and has been the top ranker in all the grades. We wish Simran the best for a very bright future."

The Award is another, example of the commitment by GEMS Schools to provide the standards of education GEMS students have a sustained record of winning major academic awards over many years. Most recently, five students across GEMS network of schools received His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Awards.
