F1 demonstration platform construction in full swing for upcoming Renault Roadshow
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, April 08 - 2009 at 11:16
- PRESS RELEASE
Construction continues on a special demonstration platform at Downtown Burj Dubai in readiness for the Renault Roadshow, which hits town on April 10th and 11th.
A team of sixty workers are currently assembling the platform, which covers 2,537m² and is located at the waterfront promenade between The Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar in Downtown Burj Dubai.
This year's event is the first time that the Renault Roadshow has visited Dubai and it is also the first time in its eighteen-event history that it has employed a purpose-built platform over a lake to showcase its vehicles and stunt drivers.
Exhilarating, choreographed displays of performance motoring will be on show to stimulate the aural and visual senses of the onlookers expected to pack into the free viewing areas.
Professional Renault drivers, including ING Renault F1 Team race driver Nelson Piquet, will take turns on the platform, revealing exactly what they are capable of doing in their cars; performing handbrake turns, donuts, wheelspins, power slides and other trick manoeuvres.
