The agreement includes provisions and rules for determining the relationship between all parties dealing in the Saudi air transport market and will play an integral role in resolving any differences that may arise.

DLA Piper has a number of lawyers in the region with experience of advising on projects and a variety of assignments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). DLA Piper is one of the few international legal services organisations with a local law capability in KSA through an integrated and exclusive affiliation with Naji Law Firm. In addition to the well known London based aviation law group, Naji Law Firm and DLA Piper also enjoy having on board two of the most qualified Saudi national aviation law specialists in the region.

"We are aiming to establish controls and standards to determine the terms of the contracts of low cost airlines for the benefit of the traveller and to ensure that a system is in place which will protect the rights of all dealers in the area of civil aviation," said HE Abdullah Mohmammed Noor Rehaimi, President of GACA.

"Naji Law Firm in association with DLA Piper is delighted to be appointed by GACA to draft its consumer protection regulations. To assist GACA in tailoring consumer protection regulations that befits its current infrastructure and caters to it expansion plans and liberalisation initiatives, we will utilise the unique blend of global best practice and deep local understanding of the Saudi regulatory framework that Naji Law Firm in association with DLA Piper brings together,"
