Sheikh Mohammed honours S.S. Lootah Contracting with first ever MRM Award for CSR

The award comes in recognition of the company's sustained activities across a broad spectrum of community and environmental programs.

Eng. Yahya Lootah, Vice Chairman-CEO of S.S. Lootah Group, accepted the award from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during a ceremony held on the 7th of April, 2008.

S.S. Lootah Contracting was also adjudged winner in the 'Construction' category. As one of the oldest contracting companies based in the UAE, S.S. Lootah Contracting has developed a great knowledge base and set best practices for the industry. Eng. Rashid Lootah, Director of S.S. Lootah Contracting, accepted the award.

Eng. Yahya Lootah praised the vision of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and said:

Eng. Yahya also extended his appreciation to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) on their continued success in supporting the business sector and thanked the Jury and all members of the Award committee.

The CSR initiatives of the company span across Emiratisation, humanitarian fund raising and volunteering, community welfare initiatives, human development and environmental sustainability programs.
