The company also offered visitors to the show free health checks to help educate and encourage the public to focus on 'prevention before cure'.

"Philips understands that women have different medical issues that present different diagnostic challenges and have different treatment needs than men. That's why we are committed to building advanced solutions for women's healthcare throughout the disease care cycle."

said Louis Hakim, Vice President of Royal Philips Electronics and CEO of Philips Middle East.

A specially created health check booth is located at the women's healthcare exhibition providing visitors free, quick and simple health checks such as glucose, lung capacity, body mass index and blood pressure.

"Philips has a long experience in Women's Healthcare and is now extending its knowledge to prevention before cure. Performing basic tests can help spot early warning signs of heart problems and diabetes, which are prevalent in the region" added Louis Hakim.

On show is Philips' new HD9 ultrasound system, which focuses on helping clinicians deliver high quality care for a full range of women's health needs. The HD9 system combines advanced imaging technology, including 3D and 4D capabilities, in an easy-to-use and reliable system for obstetrics, gynecology, and breast imaging.

Also on show is Philips' top of the range mother and child care portfolio of Avent products. Philips Avent has been creating award winning premium quality products for mothers around the world ever since the company was first created back in the 1980's.

Since joining the Philips family in 2006, Philips Avent has blossomed as a world leader in parenting and baby products, covering categories and ranges including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, feed preparation, toddler feeding, health and monitoring. Making great products is about listening to parents to really understand the problems and concerns they face with their children.

That's why Philips Avent has a long-established program to talk to midwives, paediatricians, gynaecologists, doctors and parents themselves to understand how it can use innovation to solve everyday problems.
