The 'Grab for Cash' concept is simple. A participant enters a three-metre high, 1.5-metre wide (approx. 9.1ft x 4.1ft) sealed perspex box filled with money. The money floats around in the box, blown in the air by a wind machine. The participant is allotted 30 seconds to grab as much of the floating money as he/she can.
Commenting on the novel initiative, Mr. Hassan Kamran, Leasing and Marketing Manager of Seef Mall said:
"Malls usually go in for the tried and tested formula of 'buy one, get one free', or 'scratch and win'. Taking into consideration, the elements of fun and entertainment, we thought of doing things a bit differently. So we introduced this novel 'Grab for Cash' concept for the first time in Bahrain. This experience is open to all visitors, irrespective of age, sex or nationality, and there are "no strings attached". We are confident this trendsetting innovation will draw the crowds and we have lined up many such innovations at Seef Mall in the near future."
Pamphlets for participating in the 'Grab for Cash' experience are currently being distributed at key locations in Bahrain. Those wishing to participate can fill in the forms and the final qualifiers will be chosen in a series of lucky draws to be held in their presence at the mall.
The draws will be coordinated by two leading bilingual (Arabic and English) MCs - Yousef Taha and Imran Aradi - and will be held twice a day on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm and four times a day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to 6 pm and 7 pm to 8 pm. The 'Grab for Cash' experience will last till April 30.
