According to Dominick Keenaghan, President of Insights, "The process of preparing an Awards submission has been proven to have a powerful stimulating effect on staff morale, ambition and commitment, and for those that win, the benefits can be immense. Typically winners not only describe a tremendous sense of elation and personal achievement but they also report the spontaneous surge of pride and satisfaction experienced amongst their staff when the news gets back to the office."

"Most also emphasize the myriad other benefits of winning these widely-recognised accolades such as enhanced corporate PR opportunities, the ability to produce unique sales collateral and, probably most significantly, the positive and congratulatory feedback they receive from their existing clients," Keenaghan added.

As in 2008 and based on participant feedback, the number of Awards for 2009 has been increased and some have been slightly modified in scope.

Explained Keenaghan, "The downturn is an economic reality at present and so, though our analysis of the Awards entries, we want to recognize those call centres that have created and executed on the best recession-busting initiatives and in particular customer win-back programs. Similarly corporate sales strategies are more crucial than ever at the moment and we want to applaud those call centres who have set up the best sales and service-to-sales programs."

"On the change in scope front, we want to identify the best regional call centre, irrespective of size, from a strategically aligned perspective, and also honour the OSP ( Outsource Service Provider) call centre in the region that not only creates unique value for its customers but also does the best job of representing what the region is capable of, a sort of 'Ambassador-for-the-Middle East' award," Keenaghan added.
