Mr. Naim Majdalani, Director of Sales and Marketing of Alfardan Automobiles, said:
"We are very excited to once again sponsor and be the official car of the Commercialbank MotoGP championship. The race is one of the most exciting and hotly-anticipated sporting events in the region, and we are delighted to support it again and continue our strong relationship with the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF)."
VIP guests will have the chance to experience the thrill of racing on the track as BMW will be providing BMW M cars, the official safety cars of the tournament globally, to give them special fast laps around the circuit.
"The Losail International Circuit is a world-class venue and we will be offering some of our customers the once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience it in our M cars," said Mr. Majdalani.
He continued, "Under the visionary leadership of the Emir His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar has established itself as a world-class destination for international sporting events and a benchmark for the region."
Mr. Nasser Al Atiya, Qatar Motor and Motorcycles Federation President, added, Losail International Circuit boasts the second-longest MotoGP race track in the world at 5.38 km, and last year became the first venue ever to host the race under floodlights; and we have always been glad with the long term relationship we have with Alfardan Automobiles and the fact that BMW has been the official car of the Commercialbank MotoGP championship in Doha since its inauguration in 2004 at the specially built Losail International Circuit."
Alfardan Automobiles will also be holding a raffle for audience members where they will give out a BMW 325i Car, a Ducati and a KTM Motorcycle. In addition to the prizes, Alfardan Automobiles will be setting up a special Alfardan Automobiles lounge in the VIP village and will arrange paddock tours for their VIP customers. They will also host a wide range of entrainment for families at the public area with activities such as face-painting for kids.
"Alfardan Automobiles is committed to supporting these events, as demonstrated in our recent sponsorships of the Sony-Ericsson Tennis Open, Exxon-Mobil Open, Qatar Masters Golf Tournament and now MotoGP. We hope to continue doing our part in supporting the development of sports in the country and further establishing it as a major international sporting destination," concluded Mr. Majdalani.
