Ekta Singh showcases latest collection at Dubai Fashion Week for first time
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, April 06 - 2009 at 14:34
- PRESS RELEASE
Showing for the first time at Dubai Fashion Week, Ekta Singh's heavily embellished fusion line of kaftans, dresses and bridal wear took us back to a time of Emperors and Shahs.
Her Indo-western collection also heavily featured several black, sheer floor-length dresses, which had necklines embellished with stones, crystals and silk embroidery. The long sleeves were detailed with drawstring wrist ties, silts and stones.
While Singh pleated her crepe and chiffon dresses, it was her pure silk velvet jackets that really hinted to the royal look she greatly favours. Her Vintage Classics collection featured velvet capes and bolero jackets in shades of maroon, royal green and teal.
