This year the Contest will extend across the Emirates involving Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah. The Roadstar team accompanied by students from HCT, will patrol the UAE roads in the New RX350 during the morning rush hour to identify safe motorists who will receive cash rewards and certificates in recognition of their exemplary driving.
Hugh Dickerson, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Al-Futtaim Motors commented:
"With the staggering number of road related accidents that involve young drivers in the UAE, it is crucial students actively participate in promoting road safety. We are therefore delighted to support the HCT in this important campaign through our flagship safety vehicle, the New RX350. Style, technology and safety are inseparable at the Lexus Design Centre. The RX350 is a prime example of this objective of developing technology that is of use and benefit to drivers."
Recently launched in the UAE, the new RX350 boasts of many technologically advanced active and passive safety features. The pre-crash safety system, radar cruise control, intelligent Adaptive Front-Lighting System, rear view monitor, knee airbags and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) for vehicle stability and dynamic control all provide the New RX350 with class leading safety technology.
In addition, it also features a number of Lexus-first technologies including a white high intensity LED multi-information display, innovative Head-Up Display (HUD) providing vital information on the front windshield, and a revolutionary Remote-touch system that provides a central control for all operational functions.
Both HUD and Remote-touch reduce eye movement away from the road making the New RX350 one of the safest futuristic premium SUVs.
