Mr. Aaref Hejres, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, said:

Founded in 1962, the Samaheej club has over the years played a prominent role in educating the youth and refining their talents by encouraging and providing opportunities for their involvement in various club activities that focus on education, culture and sports.
Mr. Abdul Hassan Al Hayki, President of Samaheej Club, expressing his gratitude to Diyar Al Muharraq, said, "We are extremely thankful to Diyar Al Muharraq for understanding the requirements of the people and youth of Bahrain. They are playing a leading role in serving the country and community by supporting clubs like ours. I am extremely proud that they are extending their support, not only to the people who will live in Diyar Al Muharraq, but also to all the people of Bahrain. The bus will be extremely useful for our club and will be utilised to give even more youngsters the chance to benefit from our many facilities. It will surely boost up the energy and enthusiasm of our members."
As part of its social responsibility program, Diyar Al Muharraq has also extended its support to other eminent clubs in the country including Galali and the Muharraq club. As well as supporting the existing local community and its clubs and activities, the self-contained city of Diyar Al Muharraq will provide much increased access to a wide range of quality public and private amenities, including sports' grounds and community clubs, giving both residents and visitors opportunity to exercise regularly, and to meet in a community setting.
In order to best serve the community, Diyar Al Muharraq is setting a benchmark in urban development by offering small, medium and large plot sizes to ensure that reasonably priced housing is available across all income groups. It will provide a cohesive mix of residential and commercial properties with housing opportunities for over 120,000 people in around 30,000 housing units.
Diyar Al Muharraq will be the first development in Bahrain to offer 40 kilometers of waterfront. This will include walkways, sea-facing parks, sandy beaches and a marina with a pleasant waterfront promenade, making it one of the Kingdom's most enticing destinations.
