H.E. Salem Khamis Al-Shair receives Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Award

Al-Shair has been recognised for his high competence and success in leading the UAE's e-Government initiative.

Al-Shair currently is leading the government's efforts to improve the federal authorities and ministries' e-readiness in order to elevate the efficiency of their internal operations. This electronic transformation also aims to ensure the provisioning of high quality e-Services that should lead to higher levels of customer satisfaction.

Salem Al Shair said, "I would like to dedicate this award to my teacher and role model, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a man capable of achieving the impossible. He taught us that no mountain is too high to climb and no challenge too hard to conquer. He has created many leaders, and I am very fortunate to be one of the individuals involved in contributing to his grand vision."

"I would also like to thank everyone who worked with me, for their collaboration and dedication without which no dream would have come true. Looking ahead, we will further improve our services according to the highest international standards of quality and excellence," he added.

The criteria for the Accomplished Leaders category are based on seven key areas, which are corporate focus, customer focus, leading people, resource management, process management, organisational culture, and results focus.

Established in honour of Dr. Armand Val Feigenbaum, the recognised 'Father of Total Quality Control,' the Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Award comprises four leadership categories: Accomplished Leaders, Exceptional Leaders, Women Leaders and Rising Stars.

Dr. Val Feigenbaum, who is the President and CEO of General Systems Company, and Mr. Gregory Watson, President of the International Academy for Quality (IAQ), attended the event along with officials and senior decision makers of leading companies in the UAE and the Arab region.
