AGU is expected to have a 90 x m2 stand at the exhibition, where interested parties can enquire about the University's various educational programmes and course offerings. The university wishes to use the forum for providing students an opportunity to explore the various disciplines of the university, thus enabling working professionals to search for career-enhancing courses. AGU considers the event important for human resource executives who want to generate ideas on professional training programmes that will enhance their human capital.
Commenting on AGU's participation at Getex, Professor Dr Abdurahem Mohammed Al Ameen, President of the University, said:
"Getex is a great opportunity for Al Ghurair University to present our educational programmes and reach out to a large number of potential students from the region. We also look forward to meeting professionals, parents and other individuals who regard higher education and quality training as the most valuable investment."
Dr Abdurahem added that during the event the faculty of AGU will inform prospective students about its various programmes and provide young professionals many higher education options. The students will get the chance to meet representatives of the university and ask them anything they wish to know to make an informed decision.
He maintained that the potential for the development of the educational industry in the region is very high and the demand for qualitative programmes will continue to grow.
Dr Abdurahem concluded, "More and more young people and professionals in the local market have started considering good education as the basis for success in business and career. And when a degree is earned in a prestigious educational institution, it gives extra opportunities to graduates in today's highly competitive world. Thus we think our trained faculty and market-specific programmes will attract a large number of students."
