2009 CBR 1000RR Honda Repsol powers into Oman

The 2009 CBR 1000RR Honda Repsol, the legendary fireblade, is also a super bike but whatever you call it, it's an awesome machine and an outstanding ride, laughs Yasser Al Balushi, Honda Oman's Motorcycle Manager speaking on the arrival of the 2009 CBR 1000RR Honda Repsol in Oman.

Al Balushi says:
"Everyone who comes to the showrooms stops to admire the bike which is available in the classic Fireblade black on white or in a striking limited edition special livery."

He adds, "But the Repsol isn't just an attractive superbike. Speaking as a bike rider myself, I have to say that for me the real beauty of the Repsol is in the craftsmanship and the engineering. A good example of this is the newly developed Honda Slipper Clutch which gives you smoother gear changes, a lighter clutch feel and overall effortless handling. Incredibly this comes as standard as does the new underslung dual exhaust system that makes the bike quicker and more responsive, whatever speed you're riding at. It's a real connoisseur's bike and the more you ride it the more you find to appreciate."

Indeed the refinement of the engineering and design of the CBR 1000RR Honda Repsol is what's behind its phenomenal performance; every critical component in its chassis, engine and drivetrain has been researched, designed and created to achieve not only lighter weight but structural strength and operating efficiency. This is underpinned by the Respsol's range of advanced features such as its mass-centralised fuel tank, Unit-Pro-Link rear suspension, radial-mount front disc brakes and revolutionary Honda Electronic Steering Damper.

"The Repsol is a winner on both the street and the track," enthuses Al Balushi. "It dominates its class and is ideal whether you want a comfortable ride around town, to test your skills on the track in Quriyat or to dominate the race circuit."

"It's fantastic for touring too," comments Paul Turner, Honda Oman National Sales Manager. "One Repsol rider was recently telling us he enjoyed riding his bike up to Dubai so much he's planning to make the journey again soon."

Explaining that environmental issues are always a top priority for Honda the National Sales Manager adds that this has been very much a factor in the on-going development of this bike, "As a result the Repsol has a variety of environmental impact reducing features including ultra-low emissions and, in common with all Hondas, the Repsol is over 90% recyclable. That's quite an achievement."
