Max Media awarded advertising sales contract for www.IPLT20.com
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, April 12 - 2009 at 13:23
- PRESS RELEASE
Max Media (part of ENG Worldwide) has been awarded the Middle East advertising sales contract for www.IPLT20.com, the official online destination for the DFL Indian Premier League by the rights holder Global Cricket Ventures.
As the official website for the DLF IPL - www.IPLT20.com provides brands with guaranteed exposure through the streaming of live matches, live scoring, video highlights and online video syndication (e.g. YouTube). Advertising via mobile channels is also incorporated.
According to Shoeb Ansari, Sales Director, Max Media; "The UAE region has witnessed a significant growth in digital advertising spend and the medium is an increasingly cost effective choice in the current financial climate. The GCV partnership gives Max Media the edge in offering clients the opportunity to reach global audiences during the IPL. Live streaming via the web fills a gap in ensuring brands target the high percentage of people viewing online before they travel home."
After receiving 6.88 million unique visitors during the inaugural season of DLF Indian Premier League, www.IPLT20.com is set to become the primary online destination during Season 2009 in South Africa. The URL will be televised on air during the matches to drive people to the site. The website's unique service offering includes live video footage of every match, video highlights, live multi-language audio and exclusive still images - all on a global level.
Akash Op Aurora, CEO of Dubai based netlinkblue said; "GCV's aim with www.IPLT20.com is to offer the most compelling and comprehensive online destination for coverage of the DLF IPL. We will achieve this through a combination of editorial excellence, in-depth coverage, analysis and exclusive video and audio content."
The 10-year agreement between Global Cricket Ventures and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) includes building and managing the official website www.IPLT20.com.
