Gastech 2009 exhibition set to be the biggest ever
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, April 12 - 2009 at 13:41
- PRESS RELEASE
The Gastech 2009 exhibition is set to be the biggest ever in the show's 37 year history, bringing together thousands of the world's leading gas organisations and players.
Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Gastech 2009 exhibition will provide a true one-stop shop for the latest technology, innovations, and products and services that are vital in the delivery of the global demand for gas.
This year's exhibition has attracted over 300 exhibitors from almost 40 countries, who will be showcasing new products and services. It provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to meet and compare a wide range of suppliers in one place.
Other features of the event include: the Business Presentation Theatre, which includes 40 short business presentations across the 4 days covering a range of key issues for the gas industry; and the Digital Energy Zone, sponsored by ADGAS, which combines exhibits relating to technology, applications, solutions and services with regular presentations in a purpose-built seminar theatre by companies including ATP (Associated Technology Pipeline), Cad Cam Cim, Contech Process Innovative Learning Technology, Datac, PiMSlider and Gasunie Engineering & Technology.
Speaking about Gastech 2009, Event Director, Tony Stephenson of dmg world media (uk) ltd said, "Gastech 2009 is shaping up to be one of our best events ever, and there are many compelling reasons for gas professionals to attend. The event offers a unique forum for visitors to catch up on the latest industry developments, to meet with suppliers and IOCs and NOCs, and to forge business deals."
As in previous years, Gastech will also provide the opportunity for visitors to debate some key issues. "At the last Gastech we enjoyed discussing the concept of IOCs versus NOCs - in terms of how future gas assets are developed and monetized," said Paul Young, Gastech's Conference Co-Chair and Chief Marketing Officer Exmar NV.
"But the world has changed - are we now heading back to financially strong IOCs being again welcomed back as partners for the NOCs? Will future gas projects also need the support of a fixed buyer or offtaker to facilitate the financing of the ventures? Walking the halls of the Gastech Exhibition will provide some of these answers."
The organisers of Gastech are calling for industry support in putting together the LNG Timeline, one of the most successful features from Gastech 2008, which has been updated and will be displayed at Gastech 2009. It depicts the key LNG milestones and will be augmented by photographs, press clippings, videos and hardware.
Tony Stephenson said, "The LNG timeline has proved to be extremely popular, and we are asking companies to look at the existing timeline on the Gastech website and tell us of other key dates in the industry, what have been their big achievements and how has their company helped influence the development of this industry. We want to ensure this is an evolving record of what has happened and is happening in our rapidly developing industry."
