The findings reveal that both buyers and renters are moving towards cost effective areas that what were previously unaffordable.

The survey is based on approximately 850,000 property page visits to the website over the month of March 2009 and higlights changing activity in the Dubai real estate market as a result of the current economic situation.

Commenting on the survery results, Marcello Sambartolo, Head of Marketing at propertyfinder.ae said, "This survey is revealing a confirming change of habit of residents in Dubai. Price and flexibility are becoming a key decisding factor in choosing a home. The rental market is returning to its historical popularity in this region with more perks for the tenants."

"This data also shows that the interest from end users looking to buy property in Dubai real estate is still evedent. Buyers are out there purchasing but in a more saavy manner. Sellers and letters will stay in business given their willingness to be flexible," Sambartolo added.
