Jordan Islamic Bank selects STS to provide cutting-edge IBM technologies

Jordan Islamic Bank for Finance and Investment, one of the leading banks in Jordan selects STS, Jordan's leading IT service and enterprise solutions provider to deploy new Islamic core banking system supplied by FACT based on IBM technology platform.

This step comes with the aim of advancing levels of productivity, operational efficiency and minimal time consumption.

This cooperation comes as a step to consolidate the bank's infrastructure utilizing IBM's first-class technologies to implement the latest in IBM storage and servers along with employing business continuity and disaster recovery, in addition to virtualization to host multiple workloads on physical servers.

The move will improve business flexibility, response time, and guarantee non-duplication of data to conform with work environment while boosting performance levels.

Citing the importance of the project, Mr. Musa Shihadeh, Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Islamic Bank said, "We always strive to keep pace with advanced technologies; a step consistent with the bank's strategy to offer our customers superior services on timely basis."

"Having said that, enhancing and strengthening the bank's infrastructure was priority one to ensure the flow of work is proficient after adopting a new Islamic banking system, which was provided by FACT," Mr. Shihadeh added.
