  • PRESS RELEASE

Hertz UAE, witnessing substantial growth in its Abu Dhabi business, has responded by appointing a branch supervisor to oversee its two car rental offices in the capital.

The company, which operates 12 Hertz branches across the emirates, has promoted long serving employee Sunil Kumar to the newly-created role. The two Abu Dhabi branches, in Al Falah Street and at the Airport, were previously supervised from the Hertz UAE head office in Dubai.

Bob Farrow, general manager of Hertz UAE said: "Our business in Abu Dhabi grew at an amazing rate in 2002, and Sunil's appointment is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of our car rental services to customers in the capital."

Sunil has spent his entire career in the Gulf at Al- Futtaim Sons, a subsidiary of Al- Futtaim group, which deals in automobiles and logistics and is also the Hertz franchisee for the UAE. He started as a sales executive in Al- Futtaim Son's Stationery Division in 1995, after completing his Master of Business Administration degree at Shivaji University, India. He has been with Hertz UAE for two years, working as a fleet administration supervisor.
