Al Aman Fund organizes a media tour to King Hussein Center for Orphans in Irbid

On the occasion of the Arab Orphans Week, Al Aman Fund organized a media tour on Saturday April 4th to King Hussein Center for Orphans in Irbid.

The visit included attending a puppet show for children and a workshop for the making of these puppets. The puppet show introduced a folklore story of a child who was able to overcome life challenges and his own physical disability and to stand out as a hero in his community.

During the visit, journalists toured the facilities of the King Hussein Center. The center host orphans from age 3 till 18 years old, where 62 orphans live inside the society, the center also support around 300 orphans who live outside the center.

The King Hussein Center is associated with Al Aman Fund, who commits to supporting all orphans who leave the orphanage at age of eighteen to give them the scholarships to pursue their academic education and cover all expenses that from tuition fees to living expenses and health insurance.

Moreover, the media met with a young group of beneficiaries, who lived at the center and are now studying at universities with Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans.

Ahlam, one of Al Aman Fund beneficiaries spoke about her successful experience with Al Aman Fund saying

"I heard about Al Aman Fund when I was 17 years old, at that time, I had constant fear thinking of what will happen to me when I leave this center, and then Al Aman Fund came to give me the hope and make me exert all possible efforts to complete high school and make my dreams come true. Today, I'm studying law at Al Yarmouk University, and I consider Al Aman Fund my family as they are with me in every step, even listening to me when I want advise or counseling"


Mrs. Feryal Al Jarah, Director of King Hussein Center for Orphans said "Our partnership with Al Aman is crucial to the lives of our young orphans, Al Aman continues with them after ourt role ends. We also believe in the importance of such activities that motivates orphans and give them hope, it is also a good chance for interaction with their community."

Mrs. Maha Al Saqqa, the Executive Director of Al Aman Fund expressed her thanks to all media representatives for their support of this humanitarian initiatives on every occasion".

It is worth mentioning that Al Aman Fund is an independent NGO founded by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah in 2006 and is registered under the Ministry of Social Development in Jordan.
