- PRESS RELEASE
International recruitment agency Reed Specialist Recruitment is delighted to celebrate its first anniversary in Qatar.
Among the many outstanding achievements in its first year of trade, Reed has expanded its product range and services, increased its team and talent pool, and also been recognised as a market leader. Reed received an award for 'Best New British Business' and has been involved in the visits of HRH Prince Andrew the Duke of York, Lord Digby Jones and the Lord Mayor of London - helping to fly the flag for Brand Britain.
At the recent Reed-sponsored Qatar British Business Forum Lunch, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Mr Alderman Ian Luder, was delighted to hear of Reed's continued growth into the Middle East. Reed currently has an instrumental role in attracting talent into this demanding emerging market - specifically supporting the Middle East's developing financial services businesses.
Reed opened in Qatar at the end of 2007, when Maria Brown, Associate Director for Reed, was instrumental in the creation of this now thriving business. "It is wonderful to have achieved so much in such a short space of time and fantastic to be recognised as a global recruiter in the international market. Reed is supporting the economic growth in the region, working with the prestigious QFC, and our business in Qatar has flourished through the skill, determination and hard work of our staff."
Steve Williams, Country Manager for Reed Qatar, has been here for nearly 12 months now "In the time that I have been here our business has flourished. I am delighted with how we have been able to expand and grow into a team of 15 recruitment experts covering many different specialisms including Energy, Accountancy and Finance, IT and Technology, Property and Constriction and HR. We hope that 2009 will see a continuation in the economic growth that we saw in 2008, and that we will be able to further expand our services."
