The 'green' drive is part of the hotels commitment to incorporate environmentally-friendly corporate social responsibility practices into their everyday operating systems.
Going forward, associates have pledged to participate in monthly eco activities that include recycling drives, aluminum, plastic and glass collection and water conservation initiatives.
"Environmental conservation is a key issue that affects everyone today and it is important that we all do our bit to help save our planet," commented Pam Wilby, General Manager of Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort + Spa and Grosvenor House Dubai.
"The amount of enthusiasm our associates have shown for this project has been phenomenal and I sincerely hope it makes a tangible difference to those living in and visiting the area," Wilby added.
Last month, associates participated in an Eco Poster Competition. Next month's eco activities include a Recycled Art Competition and Tree & Flower Planting.
