Aptec's VP, Essam Baghdadi, said:
"Pakistan's IT market is gaining strength with time and we expect a steady growth despite the current financial situation. Our research shows that there is an ever increasing number of educated users and experts in the Pakistani market."
TDME Pakistan operates out of Karachi, headed by Country Manager Rizwan Ahmed with liaison offices planned in both Islamabad and Lahore. As a subsidiary of Aptec Holdings, TDME Pakistan will draw on expertise from the parent company as well as enjoy the benefits of a unified logistics approach.
Baghdady added, "We would like to see Aptec Pakistan become a full-fledged subsidiary offering the same facilities available in our other offices in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and Turkey. We have plans to add local warehousing and other logistics support shortly."
TDME Pakistan will begin its operations with distribution rights for Belkin, Cisco, Digi-Link, ISS, McAfee, NetApp and Symantec products in the country.
