Visa announces DSF 2009 winners

Visa Inc, one of the world's leading payment solutions providers, has announced the winners of its DSF 2009 promotion.

One grand prize winner and four secondary winners welcomed the news that they were chosen by random as the lucky recipients of Visa's DSF promotion. Grand prize winner Paul Devlin, an HSBC customer, won a trip for two to the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010. While four other lucky Visa cardholders each received Dhs20,000 loaded onto their Visa cards.

"We hope that all Visa cardholders have enjoyed the added value competitions during DSF in addition to the security and convenience a Visa card provides when shopping and paying for everyday items."

The competition, which ran from January 15 to February 15 2009 formed part of Visa's annual DSF sponsorship and celebrated Visa's status as an official FIFA sponsor. Visa cardholders were automatically entered into the grand prize draw by simply using their Visa credit or debit card to make purchases during DSF.

Commenting on receiving his prize, HSBC customer Paul Devlin, said: "I am ecstatic about winning the trip to the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, particularly as that is my home country. Thanks to Visa, I will be able to witness the first FIFA World Cup held on the African continent."
