Five Genius products receive 'Symbol of Excellence' award

The products to receive the award are the Genius Wireless TwinTouch Optical Office, Wireless WebScroll+NBEye, VideoCAM Smart300, MousePen 5X4 and the Wireless G-12 Twin.

The Symbol of Excellence, instituted in 1993, has been awarded annually by CETRA to the best design, innovative and highest quality products produced by Taiwanese vendors. To be selected for an award, products must excel in five categories including R&D innovation, Design Innovation, Quality Systems, Marketing and Brand Awareness. Since its inception, the Symbol of Excellence has become the most prestigious product recognition program in Asia, with hundreds of Taiwan companies competing annually for the award.

Judged by a panel of experts, the Symbol of Excellence products are from the full spectrum of the Taiwan industry. This includes office automation, machinery, hardware and building materials, consumer electronics, electrical appliances, communication products, computer hardware & software, medical instruments/optical apparatus, transportation, bicycles, sporting goods, jewelry and timepieces, stationery/gifts/toys and textiles. Each year, however, information technology-related products earn nearly half of the awards.
