- PRESS RELEASE
Located on the sweeping curve of West Bay with exquisite views over the Arabian Gulf, Four Seasons Hotel Doha is anticipated to be the sought-after location for conferences, society weddings and lavish events in the State of Qatar.
The showpiece of the Hotel's meeting facilities is its magnificent lobby-level Al Mirqab Ballroom, a spectacular tribute to interior design. Its 7.3 metre-high ceiling is subtly embellished with plasterwork and recessed lighting and provides a splendid backdrop for the nine enormous two-tier Italian chandeliers reminiscent of the Art Deco period - a perfect foil against the Neo-Classicism of the silk panelling and minute alcoves which adorn the walls. Shades of taupe, bronze and rose dominate the overall colour scheme. An exclusively commissioned luxurious carpet, featuring Andalusian motifs, completes the effect.
Cleverly concealed partitions can be used to allow the ballroom to be divided into two or three rooms, offering complete soundproofing. Similarly, the pre-function space can be turned into smaller sections for cocktails or break-out areas.
The Ballroom enjoys the luxury of its own private entrance making it perfect for weddings and it is fully equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and lighting systems. Outside events are a popular seasonal choice and few venues in Doha can offer such picturesque surrounds than the outdoor Al Mirqab Terrace. With its open archways, Roman columns and colourful planters, the Terrace offers lovely views over the Arabian Gulf. Enhanced by subtle lighting, it is a romantic venue for alfresco evening events.
The Hotel's second floor is almost entirely dedicated to meeting space, its rooms varying in size to offer some of the finest function rooms in Doha. Echoing the decorative theme of the Al Mirqab Ballroom, the Al Diabel Room is the largest facility for medium-sized events and will accommodate a reception for up to 245 guests or a banquet for 175, and can also be divided for more intimate affairs.
Four further function rooms are ideal for smaller events, meetings and conferences. The Jnan and Msaimeer Rooms, each with breathtaking views over the Hotel's beachfront and the Arabian Gulf, continue the elegant design features of the Ballroom and Banquet Room. The Al Zubara and the Al Jassassia Rooms feature oak wood panelling, the 'masculine' effect softened by rich silk drapes and deep pile carpeting featuring bold Arabesque designs.
The Hotel's 24-hour Business Centre, located on the second floor and convenient to all function rooms, offers a wide range of services including administrative and translation assistance while its multi-lingual staff can assist with anything from airline bookings to equipment rental. A separate computer room with internet service completes the offerings available at the Centre.
The Hotel's function capacities can extend outside where the gardens and beachside open up new dimensions for informal parties and themed events, all enhanced by the hospitality and consistent, highly personalised levels of service for which Four Seasons is so well known.
