The students visited the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) headquarters in Amman, and donated medical equipment.

They had a first-hand experience of the range and quality of healthcare services, during their visit to UNRWA's Al Baqa'a health camp. The delegation also visited the Jordan River Foundation and was briefed about their program for Gaza. They were introduced to the activities of the foundation's 'Community Empowerment Programs' that focuses on sustainable development.

Eng. Yahya Lootah, Vice Chairman-CEO of S.S. Lootah Group, honoured the students on their return and pledged the continued support of the Group for such initiatives.

"At S.S. Lootah, we believe that business exists fundamentally to serve people. We have always encouraged our students' participation in community welfare programs. The learning acquired from such experiences plays an important role in enhancing the overall development of our youth and society,"

he said.

Fatma Lootah, Manager, Community Programs of S.S. Lootah who led the delegation commented, "As part of S.S. Lootah's community programs, we chose to visit Jordan as it plays a key role in coordinating humanitarian programs in the region. Our visit has been highly informative and eye-opening in all respects and has empowered our students to contribute positively to society."

S.S. Lootah Group Founder-Chairman Haj Saeed Lootah started the Dubai Medical and Pharmacy colleges exclusively for girls as not-for-profit initiatives, and are today among the most respected institutions in the region. The students had earlier undertaken a similar campaign in 2006 titled 'Lebanon in our hearts and thoughts' in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Lebanon and the UAE Program to support and rebuild Lebanon.
