Studies from the event proved that most children brush their teeth only in the morning before going to school and the most common excuse used is 'I forget to brush my teeth'.
Also, the kids were not aware of the correct brushing techniques and admitted that they only go to the dentists if they have a problem with their teeth.
"It is very important to educate our children about oral hygiene at an early age to promote a healthy lifestyle for them,"
said Mohamed Azzawe, Brand Manager P&G Oral-B & Crest, Middle East.
"It is extremely crucial for us as parents to speak to our kids and explain to them the importance of good oral hygiene as this will help to prevent cavities, teeth stains, bad breath and other dental problems," added Mohamed Azawwe.
It's the parents' responsibility to make sure their kids visit a dentist before the age of two.
This can be a daunting experience for some children, but if parents exhibit a positive attitude, most children become comfortable with dentist visits.
"Baby" teeth are more important than most people think, they build and form a path that permanent teeth will follow when they are ready to come out. By teaching our kids how to look after their teeth you help them go through life with a healthy and beautiful smile.
