Ebttikar named as Cisco Systems' Middle East Channel Partner of the year, 2002-03

Cisco Systems Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, today announced the winners of its Channel Partner Awards for 2002-03.

Celebrating their hard work and dedication to Cisco's 'Mission Possible' - to provide the highest service quality and support - Cisco's Middle East and North Africa team presented its Channel Partners with seven awards for corporate and individual excellence.

The winners were selected for their performance in each region and included Data Consult Lebanon (Levant), Gulf Business Machines (Gulf), Jeraisy (KSA), NCR (UAE) and Systems Engineering of Egypt (Egypt). In addition, Schlumberger's Adel Dahmani received an award for Outstanding Individual Contribution, whilst Saudi-based Ebttikar was named Cisco's Channel Partner of the Year for the Middle East.

In presenting the awards, Ghazi Atallah, Director of Operations for Cisco Systems Middle East and North Africa said: "Our focus this year is to ensure Cisco and its Channel Partners develop relationships with public sector, commercial and government organisations and become trusted advisors and valued partners. Each of our Channel Partners has made great strides in preparing themselves for this challenge through developing their competencies and acquiring new skills and specialisations. This year they will have to work together to provide the service levels that will grow their client's businesses and drive mutual profitability."

The Awards were presented at Cisco's 2-day Annual Partner Summit held in Dubai. The Annual Partner Summit is held each year for Channel Partners in the Middle East and North Africa region; offering an open platform for exchanging and engaging in technology updates, new strategies, and team building.
