The concept, based on tradition and culture, is demonstrated through an interactive presentation, offering visitors a first-hand experience of the new design model.

'Hai Al Arab' relies on a mix of land use and dense urban form, bringing diversity and vibrancy into the model. Community spaces and facilities such as schools, mosques, public parks and open spaces linked with recreational facilities are an integral part of the new community design model.

The master-plan of 'Hai Al Arab' is developed by ZAS/PSE, and supported by TROW, Q Energy, Fraunhofer, SGM and TEC.INN., all part of S.S. Lootah International's 'Sustainable Construction Group'.

They offer specialised services in engineering and project management, natural gas infrastructure, applied research, material testing and conservation. S.S. Lootah Contracting will be facilitating the construction.

Eng. Yahya Lootah, Vice Chairman-CEO of S.S. Lootah Group commented, "The challenges posed on modern community design are driving the Gulf region towards sustainable models that takes into account social, environmental and economic value. The specialised strengths of our partners combined with our local expertise have contributed to the creation of new models, from master planning and construction to infrastructure efficiency."

DJ Armin, Managing Partner of ZAS/PSE said, "The 'Hai Al Arab' community model begins with a holistic vision acknowledging local building and construction traditions, while infusing them with modern green technologies. It takes inspiration from the Arab tradition, characterised by its distinctive social bond and adherence to both religious and modern values."

S.S. Lootah International joint ventures offer comprehensive design and development services including LEED certified design, architecture and engineering, and natural gas infrastructure. With each of these specialised areas, combined with S.S. Lootah's regional expertise, project developers can avail a comprehensive umbrella of all services related to engineering, construction and project management from a single provider.
