Kolb takes the reins at Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel, Beirut

Austrian Martin H. Kolb has been appointed General Manager of the five-star Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon.

The 43-year-old Viennese, a business administration graduate, joins the 185-roomed hotel, which is situated in Ain El Mreisseh, one of Beirut's most historic districts, just a few minutes walk from the new Down Town Development Solidere and the Beirut seashore. He joins Radisson SAS from the UAE, where he was General Manager of the Coral Beach Resort in Sharjah.

Kolb, who speaks German, English and French, has hospitality and travel industry experience spanning the USA, Europe, the Far East and Middle East and has worked for leading industry names such as Kuoni Travel, Starwood, Holiday Inn and United Airlines.

"Martin brings extensive sales and hotel operations experience to his new post," said Jean-Marc Busato, Vice President Middle East, Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, part of the Rezidor SAS group. "His in-depth knowledge of the travel industry is an additional advantage for this property as Lebanon continues to rebuild its inbound tourism business."

The Radisson SAS Martinez is one of 14 properties in the Middle East and Africa operated by internationally-acclaimed Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts.
