Some of the most sought after preparations on the a la carte menu will include fresh tarama maison, magret of duck with pink peppercorn sauce, grilled cote de boeuf, open ravioli with tiger Prawns and cappellini pasta with caviar in a cream and herb sauce.
With the opening of La Maison du Caviar at W Doha, in addition to its infinitely delectable repertoire of restaurants and lounges such as two concept restaurants by world famous chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Market and Spice Market and uber-trendy bars Crystal and Wahm, the selection of restaurants and sumptuous fare at the W Doha makes it an incomparable destination for trendy and fine dining.
La Maison du Caviar which is currently owned by the Caviar Company Qatar and licensed by Caviar Volga Paris, hopes to attract gourmands and diners with exceptional predilections for quality, fresh and delectable foods as well as incomparable experiences of comfortable atmospheric dining in the region.
La Maison du Caviar, the world renowned boutique French bistro and caviar purveyor was first opened in Paris by Mr. Robert de Lalagade and his wife Odette on encouragement by the Shah of Iran in 1956 in an attempt to introduce the wonders of roe delicacies to Europeans.
In Paris its the "cantine" of all the rich and famous, and that is what La Maison du Caviar Doha is a luxury "cantine" where clients come to eat lunch or dinner each day of the week.
Upon the opening, Hala Achkar, Managing Director of The Caviar Company Qatar said, "La Maison du Caviar embodies the fashionable, yet distinct traditions of naturally sourced foods, served in the most enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere."
She added: "By choosing to open our first Middle Eastern address with W Hotels and Residences, we feel we have partnered with a brand and an icon in the hospitality industry that prides itself on bearing the same values - uncompromising service excellence and groundbreaking concepts. We are very excited at the prospect of beginning a new era in purveying fine caviar and delectable French fare with W Hotels in Doha."
La Maison du Caviar retains some of its unique dining traditions, that started in 1950s Paris, but has modified its offering to suit the palettes and tastes of a global clientele. Caviar and French dishes are served on fine paper linen and patrons of the restaurant are invited to dine casually.
The French bistro has been designed by world famous French interior designer Jacques Garcia and is located next to the entrance of the W Doha hotel at the Living Room level.
La Maison du Caviar's interior is a touch boutique, with ambient lighting, clean lines and majestically plush seating.
Set out over a comfortable 180 sq m, with 90 seats and 10 at the bar. The bistro also boasts a merchandise boutique that will allow customers to purchase some of the world's finest caviars, smoked salmon, foie gras or sweet and savoury delicacies, to share with friends or family on special occasions.
"What's most interesting," says Ms Achkar, "is that La Maison du Caviar is situated very close to Doha's booming business district in West Bay. Like La Maison du Caviar in Paris, this bistro stands to become a charming, relaxed and unique atmosphere in which not just the fine diners of Doha can entertain or eat, but a location where distinguished businessmen can conduct business with a touch of style and elegance."
Due to its success and consistency in going beyond customer expectations, La Maison du Caviar aims to open seven more restaurants in seven separate international destinations.
"The brand lends itself to a fast globalising world that's looking for that extra mile. And with a foot in every Middle Eastern country, we hope to provide that little slice of French food and caviar heaven wherever you go."
says Ms Achkar.
La Maison du Caviar is a trendy restaurant open daily from 12 pm until 1am and expects to serve customers looking for a delicious quick lunch or a more relaxed and ambient dinner experience.
