Six Senses launches 'Build a Smile' initiative

Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay, Oman has introduced 'Build a Smile' - a unique initiative allowing guests to trade just four hours of community work a day, in return for doubling their stay at the resort from 18 April - 30 June.
Guests are asked to do doing skills-based labour under the supervision of experienced craftsmen, helping with plumbing, electricity or general maintenance according to their skills set. In return they can enjoy numerous activities at the resort including paragliding, yoga, pampering spa therapies or dining on the hilltop overlooking the dramatic view of the bay.
Calling for support Zighy Bay General Manager Rochelle Kilgariff said, "We're looking for help from the local community from those wanting to join the cause, with a stay in host accommodation in return. Volunteers will not only gain an enriching experience, but also greater insight into local Omani culture and a pampering break as a result. It's a win-win offer."
"We have a very strong commitment towards CSR and it's one of the founding philosophies of Six Senses and Almasa, our local partners. Our core purpose is to create innovative and enlightening experiences, in tune with their Slow Life philosophy: Sustainable-Local-Organic-Wholesome Learning-Innovative. Social Season forms an integral part of that philosophy," Kilgariff added.
She added, "We share our beach with the Zighy people and have intertwined communities and this brings us great pleasure to be able to give something back."
The Build a Smile campaign gives a truly unique holiday for less, whilst helping those in need in the community, during harder times. Volunteers can contact the resort direct for more details on how to become involved. Four hours of time was never worth so much.
