- PRESS RELEASE
The Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE serve as an excellent model for Arab governments on how to equip young people to exploit the digital revolution, according to Joseph Hanania, Regional Manager, HP Middle East.
The second biennial 'e-Education Without Borders' student conference was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Men's College from 22-24 February. The event attracted over 500 students from 70 countries and was designed to promote innovative learning in various cultures from around the world. The event took place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
HCT has assembled an impressive list of top-level speakers and international guests including His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE and conference founder as well as the keynote speaker Dr Edward de Bono, the inventor of lateral thinking.
"HP is committed to help educational institutes around the world in supporting their students to become skilled in the use and application of technology, " concludes Joseph Hanania. "This event served as an excellent forum for discussion. More importantly though I'm sure that these discussions will lead to the practical application of ideas that will have long term benefits for both the students and for their societies."
