Panasonic launches the latest in camcorders for ME professional & broadcast industry

Panasonic, the leading supplier of open digital solutions to the broadcast, production and professional industry, recently announced the launch of its wide range of innovative and technologically superior DV, DVCPRO and DVCPRO50 camcorders at the Global Entertainment & Media Exhibition (GEMEX) held from 4-6 March 2003 at Dubai World Trade Center.

The show is the region's largest and most comprehensive exhibition for the international entertainment and media industry. This strategic move will go a long way towards consolidating Panasonic's position as the region's foremost provider of professional and broadcasting solutions.

"The newly launched products, which include AJ-SDX900, AJ-DVX100 and the AJ-HDC27F incorporate film style progressive acquisition as well as standard definition. As the first camera manufacturer to introduce this capability into key products across the range, it highlights Panasonic's deep-seated commitment to introducing the latest in technology to the Middle East the market. It is also reflective of Panasonic's evolutionary strategy of building towards a High Definition (HD) future," said Shigeru Uno, General Manager, System Products, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE. "We envisage a growing requirement for HD production at different sectors as well as varied price points in the market. These new cameras will broaden the creative opportunities in the film, broadcast, news, commercials and corporate communities," he added.
