OITE to host transport, shipping and logistics show in October

To cater to the country's growing regional trade & consumer demand for imports, factories, industrial estates, developments and construction of bigger airports, seaports, railways, public transport and road networks, Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) under the auspices of Ministry of Transport & Communication will organize TransOman - the Transport, Shipping & Logistics Show from October 13 to 15, 2009.
Transoman serves as an ideal platform for infrastructure, transport management companies, customs, cargo handling and logistics, commercial and public transport and multimodal solutions, providing a great opportunity to explore, network and connect with the country's potential market.
TransOman will provide companies with a platform to demonstrate their products and services to a targeted audience, make contacts, obtain market information and meet leading industry players in air, road, rail, shipping, customs, cargo and logistics businesses.
TransOman is aimed to bring in a wide range of infrastructure builders and contractors including airport, seaport, railway, road transport; facilities, machinery and equipment to operate and manage transport infrastructure.
It will also host transport management services which include equipment for air cargo, freight centres and terminal operators, sea port management, containers, deck, dredging and navigation equipment, offshore equipment manufacturers and shipyard installation providers, air and sea passenger embarkation services, vessel registration, shipping container lines and marine equipment suppliers.
TransOman will likewise play host to customs, cargo handling and logistics companies, including warehousing, trucking services and customs services, freight forwarding companies and agents, commercial and public transport and multimodal solutions such as transport mechanism, services and solutions, light and heavy commercial vehicles, buses, trailers and semi-trailers, ships, tankers, carriers and yachts, solutions providers for applications like ticketing, labeling and storing and freight exchange solutions.
