"d'fusion's menu promises the works and is designed to appeal to the most astute palate - lots of classics, alongside more off-beat choices- all using fresh ingredients prepared with style and imagination,"
said Amin Rajwani, director, Grandeur Hotel, when asked about the premise of the restaurant.
"In a city where fusion restaurants are a dime a dozen, d'fusion sets itself apart by ensuring that it stays true to its concept---India with a Twist—this permeates the décor and the staff, the food and drink, the service and ambience---we haven't missed a thing," he added.
By pairing Indian culinary techniques with western ingredients to make it more appealable to an international audience, the chef at d'fusion has created a menu that includes old favourites like Murgh Makhani and Dal Tadka with a Chaat cart that delivers Vodka Paani Puri to your table and Chicken Tandoori Sushi, to name a few.
Set to provide a full-on entertainment experience, the restaurant has also signed on a resident band, the Fusion Five, named so because of their ability to perform tunes from several different languages, focusing on five fan favourites - Hindi, English, Konkani, Swahili and Bengali. The music performed covers various genres that appeal to listeners of all ages, with a special focus on Bollywood hits. The Fusion Five also encourage guests to pick their favourite songs, and request forms are available throughout the evening.
In addition to being a fantastic dinner destination, d'fusion is also a great after-hours spot. The full service bar features signature cocktails, like Arabian Nights(rose-infused lime juice with mint leaves), Masala Mojito (the Cuban rum classic infused with Indian spices), alcohol-infused golas (sweet, shaved ice treats) and an impressive wine list that features a varied selection of wines that can ordered by the glass as well as by the bottle and perfectly complement one's meal.
