CB Richard Ellis named to Fortune 500 for second straight year

CB Richard Ellis is once again the only commercial real estate services firm to be included in the Fortune 500.

The Fortune 500 ranks U.S.-based companies by total revenue. CB Richard Ellis was ranked at 464 on the list.

In 2008, CB Richard Ellis arranged sales and leasing transactions with total value of $138.8bn and managed commercial properties and corporate facilities totaling more than 2.2 billion sq. ft. (includes properties managed by affiliate companies).

Across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, CB Richard Ellis advised on a number of high-profile transactions during 2008, including the sale of Bank of Santander's 1,200 property portfolio for $6.5bn, and was awarded new international instructions including the appointment by Citigroup to act as a preferred real estate services advisor for its transaction management services across EMEA and by Nestlé to provide facilities management services across four markets accounting for 7 million sq ft.

Earlier this year, CB Richard Ellis was named for the third year in a row to BusinessWeek's list of the 50 best performers and led National Real Estate Investor's Top Brokerage list for the sixth straight year. CBRE was also named ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for outstanding energy management and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions for the second year.
