Jet Airways inaugurates Dubai - Chennai link

The inaugural flight by Jet Airways from Chennai to Dubai landed at Dubai International Airport on 23rd April at 15:15 hrs with a full complement of passengers.

Present at the airport were a number of dignitaries, including Mr. Saood Aziz Kangazar - General Manager Dubai Civil Aviation, Mr. Mohammed Ghannem, General Manager - Dubai Airport and other dignitaries from Dubai International Airport and Jet Airways management.

The aircraft was greeted on its arrival by a water-gun salute, while Dubai airport authorities and Jet Airways management were later introduced to the captain and co-pilot.

9W 545 then departed Dubai at 1630 hrs again with a full flight, arriving in Chennai at 2215 hrs.

Passengers travelling on this new service also enjoy the opportunity to earn Double JPMiles and enjoy a 25% discount on Jet Award tickets up to May 31, 2009.

According to Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways:
"Jet Airways is fast emerging as the carrier of choice on the Indo-Dubai sector, on account of the warmth of its service, its world-class in-flight product and unmatched pan-India connectivity. The new services will enable the carrier to further enhance its presence on the sector, in line with passenger demand."


In addition to Dubai, Jet Airways also operates daily flights to Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha and Abu Dhabi in the Gulf from several Indian cities.
