Netgear launches 4-bay desktop network-attached storage solution for SMBs

Netgear, a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking and storage products, has launched ReadyNAS NVX, a 4-bay desktop network-attached storage solution designed for small and medium businesses (SMBs).
The new easy-to-use and deploy product offers advanced network-attached storage (NAS), thereby facilitating users' capacity to securely store, share and protect business-critical data across a LAN or WAN, guard against disk failures, and grow capacity as needed. Extremely fast and affordable, the new ReadyNAS NVX is ideal for resellers whose business is to provide centralised storage and disaster recovery to SMB customers.
Supporting both NAS and Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI), ReadyNAS NVX is an ideal desktop storage system for home, offices, workgroups and small businesses.
This entry-level SMB product enables end users to centralise data from local systems into a single device, and solve problems around capacity growth, remote access, and backup without IT expertise.
The solution also simultaneously handles file sharing for Windows, UNIX/Linux and Mac systems, and has the capacity to support Apple Filing Protocol (AFP), Bonjour software technology and dashboard widgets for status monitoring.

In addition, the embedded ReadyNAS Vault option also lets users automatically archive to an Internet datacentre and recover from any web browser. Offered with a full 24/7 technical support and an industry-leading life warranty, the ReadyNAS NVX comes with a free 30-day trial of the ReadyNAS Vault internet backup service.
