"This year's round of Next Move is a good opportunity to highlight that Egypt's fundamentals are sound, and confirm that there are significant opportunities in the real estate sector in Egypt despite the global financial crisis," says Sodic Managing Director Maher Maksoud. "The steady progress Sodic has shown in the past months is an indication that there is demand in this sector. Sodic is proactively adapting its products to cater to the changing needs of today's market."

The Sodic booth will display the company's main projects: Allegria, Kattameya Plaza, EASTOWN and WESTOWN. Designed by talented Egyptian designer Tamer Anani, the booth is inspired by the Sodic Sales Centre, covering 538 square metres in Hall II of the International Conference Centre.

Award-winning residential compound Allegria is one of the developments Sodic is showcasing this year. Located in west Cairo, Allegria boasts Egypt's only Greg Norman signature golf course and consists of over 1,200 villas and townhouses, most of which have been sold in record time and with no advertising at all. Designed by a number of famed local and international architects, Allegria received an award of merit from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ALSA) for its master plan which is designed by EDAW, in addition to two CNBC Arabian Property Awards for Best Development and Best Golf Development in Egypt.

Allegria Phase IV was launched earlier this year offering smaller units with attractive designs, of which 80% of its units were sold in just two weeks.. Sodic is planning to launch Allegria Phase III after redesigning some 230 units to cater to the changing market needs.

Sodic's largest and most ambitious projects to date are EASTOWN and WESTOWN, two mixed-use, sustainable city centres on both sides of Cairo, designed in collaboration with Solidere International the Lebanese company renowned for the reconstruction of downtown Beirut. The two developments are set to become the urban hubs of both New Cairo and Sixth of October City, combining residential, commercial, administrative, retail, touristic and recreational facilities.

Sodic is also exhibiting Kattameya Plaza, an upscale gated apartment complex which includes 658 apartments in 41 buildings in New Cairo. A totally innovative concept in Egypt, the apartments will be delivered to customers semi-furnished, with all fixtures, bathrooms, floorings, windows and kitchen cabinets. Customers can choose from up to 20 different apartment types, all of which enjoy a healthy living experience with comprehensive facilities and open green spaces.
