Salah Razek will head the firm's operations in Qatar. He will be responsible for engaging closely with key customers and delivering Al-Futtaim Technologies' market-leading solutions from Microsoft Business Solutions, Alcatel-Lucent and Panasonic security systems to its customers.
Mr. Razek, who has over two decades of experience in the ICT field, said: "I look forward to this new and exciting challenge at Al-Futtaim Technologies. I plan to use my expertise to further build on the excellent reputation of the company as we enter a new expansion phase for Al-Futtaim Technologies in the region."
Al-Futtaim Technologies' client portfolio includes Etisalat, Emirates Airlines, Jumeirah Group, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR), DNATA Call Center, Imate Middle East (Carrier Devices Middle East), Thuraya Satellite Telecommunications Company, City Seasons Hotel, Movenpick Laguna Towers, and Arabian Radio Network among others.
Al-Futtaim Technologies was recently presented with the Enterprise Reseller of the Year award at the prestigious 2009 Channel Middle East awards ceremony held in Dubai, UAE.
The company also won a major contract to implement Alcatel-Lucent IP Telephony and Unified Communication solution for Etisalat, the UAE's leading telecommunications service provider.
